Wayland, MA (February 12, 2020) – MembersFirst and Florida Chapter CMAA (FLCMAA) are pleased to announce the launch of a new chapter website, continuing a partnership that began in August 2012. The FLCMAA has been at the forefront of modernizing its membership communication strategy. The chapter was the first to launch a mobile app and the new website is another example of being an industry leader. Since 2012 the membership has grown by 20% and the modernization of the new website will be instrumental in providing current members new online resources, highlighting chapter sponsors and marketing the chapter to new club managers.
The strategy for the new website was sparked after an education session on communication strategy at the CMAA 2019 World Conference. Sean Bleyl, Client Development Executive at MembersFirst, and Beth Sargent, Executive Director at Florida Chapter CMAA, agreed that the Florida Chapter could continue its mission to lead the way by using the same modern communication tools and methods that businesses outside the club industry had adopted. The first step was to make the new website fully responsive so that all content and online tools could be accessed from computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Video production is allowing clubs to connect with their members like never before and the Florida chapter is taking full advantage of that in their communications plan. FLCMAA was the first chapter to record its conference speakers and on the new website the videos have been organized by the MembersFirst team with User Experience in mind. We collaborated with the MembersFirst team to design and organize our video resources, making the online resource easier to search and navigate,
explains Beth Sargent. In addition, the site is now fully integrated with the chapter mobile app, which allows for members to submit education credits right from their mobile devices.
The creative ideas coming out of the Florida Chapter are, and always have been, inspiring for our team at MembersFirst. Hopefully the redesigned chapter website inspires other club managers to implement similar ideas at their club,
explains Sean. Well recognized within the club industry, MembersFirst has been the recipient of seven Boardroom Magazine Excellence in Achievement Awards for Website Company of the Year and 36 Interactive Media Awards. We wanted the site to look different than all of the other CMAA chapter sites. The team at MembersFirst created a clean, organized and thoughtful website. During the process they were collaborative and they really listened,
adds Sargent.
The Florida Chapter CMAA website launched on January 16, 2020 and can be viewed at https://www.flcmaa.org/.
