New Site Will Enhance Communications and Member Service
Wayland, MA - February 16, 2010 ‐ Atlanta's East Lake Golf Club has elected to upgrade their club website after many years, and has awarded the project to MembersFirst®, Inc. The company, with a ten year history of serving the club industry, is a leading Internet marketing company specializing in website design, development and management services to member-based organizations in the leisure and lifestyle market.
We're very proud to have been selected for the distinct honor of working with East Lake Golf Club,
noted John Blake, CEO of MembersFirst®. The club has a storied history of producing numerous champions, and a stellar reputation as one of the top 100 clubs on the country. We look forward to designing a web presence that reflects accurately and brilliantly on the heritage that serves as the source of pride for so many of its former and current members.
Our website was fairly dated in terms of functionality,
say Chad Parker, East Lake's head golf professional. It desperately needed a refresh and we felt MembersFirst® was the most qualified to handle it. We were extremely impressed with the company's level of design expertise, product capabilities, and most notably the success other clubs have experienced with the company and their service,
he continued.
East Lake is fortunate to have a full membership at this time. It intends to keep it that way by providing more timely and relevant member communications, and by extending new services and conveniences from within the password protected, member-only website.
The goal [when the website was first created many years ago] was to provide information about the clubs history, the championship events we host, and some general information about the club,
says Chad Parker. It served its purpose, but things have changed. The focus for the new site has shifted to communications - a shift that places emphasis on better serving our existing membership,
he added.
The website's new capabilities will include the ability to customize online forms so members can direct their inquiries to the appropriate staff member, rather than overloading and burdening a single club administrator with the task of sorting and forwarding email to others.
Currently, the club experiences frequent member phone calls regarding matters related to course conditions and availability. To ease this process, East Lake will implement a tee sheet on its new website, reducing call volumes and freeing up its golf staff to focus on face-to-face member service.
If we make the website more user-friendly with greater capabilities and actively promote it to members, then we can streamline communications and improve the overall quality of the member experience at the club at the same time,
Parker says. We'd certainly still love to talk to our members, but we're finding many prefer the convenience of the Internet,
he continued.
The East Lake Golf Club website is expected to launch in the Spring of 2010.
